The American Council of Engineering Companies of West Virginia (ACEC-WV) is devoted to the advancement of the practice of consulting engineering, to the promotion of private enterprise, protection of public welfare, and to the improvement of the economic status of the professional engineers engaged in the practice of consulting engineering.

American Council of Engineering Companies – West Virginia
ACEC-WV is a statewide organization representing the consulting engineering community. We are a source for information and a hub for the cooperative services for common purposes that benefit all members throughout West Virginia. Our affiliation with the National ACEC (American Council of Engineering Companies) enables ACEC-WV to be involved with the largest National organization of engineers engaged in the independent practice of consulting engineering.
ACEC includes nearly 5,500 member firms, which represent some 184,000 employees, offering a wide variety of professional engineering services. These include all fields of engineering from civil, transportation, electrical, mechanical, structural, environmental, geotechnical, chemical, acoustical, industrial, mining, and agricultural services to a wide range of services in the field of energy production and conservation. Our firms range in size from a single, experienced professional engineer to corporations employing thousands of professionals who represent a diverse population.

ACEC-WV sponsors and supports legislation that affects the business interests and professional integrity of our member firms.
COLLABORATION
Becoming a member of ACEC-WV gives firms the unique ability to network and collaborate with other firms, public agencies, elected officials, and keep their finger on the pulse of our industry.
PARTICIPATION
ACEC-WV provides several opportunities for members from across the state to gather, network, take part in workshops and help guide the organization. Quarterly Board Meetings, the Joint Forum, Legislative Visit Day and the Engineering Excellence Awards keep ACEC-WV members a unified and effective force in West Virginia.
EDUCATION
Our association offers seminars throughout the year on issues pertaining to the engineering community, and works with the WVDOH to provide engineering and design training courses.
